Good on you, Bridie Carter. It’s refreshing to hear someone of celebrity status speak sensibly about their battles (“How I won my fight against alcoholism”, SHS, November 25). I am in my 30s and have recently celebrated four years’ sobriety — also after seeking treatment. I have had a beautiful baby this year and am pleased with my new, wonderful life.

Sorry they are a bit late, but i started baleing my hay paddock on Wednesday and everything went wrong and i finaly got it all done last night.
Carter beat comedian Anh Do in DWTS grand final.
“It’s been the most incredible journey for me,” an emotional Carter said after being handed the mirrorball trophy.
Carter and her partner Craig Monley received rave reviews from all four judges for each of her three performances of the night.
